BETTY DEMARCO, founder of DeMarco Dance Company, started her dance school in 1968 because

of a desire to share her knowledge in a friendly and professional atmosphere. Son Joe carries on the legacy,which will soon span half a century! Betty still actively teaches and choreographs. Her stu
dents have performed on Broadway in “A Chorus Line,” “Cats,” and “42nd Street.” Betty’s credits range from TV to lectures and master classes. She was a guest teacher for Dance Masters of America and is known for her unique style. Recent performing credits include “Sweethearts of the Silver Screen,” Rhapsody in Blue,” and “Old Fashion Holidays” for Jean Ryan Productions at the Crystal Palace Restaurant & Theater.

JOE DEMARCO, owner/director of DeMarco Dance Company, began his career at age five on Al Alberts TV Showcase. He toured with his dancing family, opening for Liza Minnelli, Bobby Vinton, and Frankie Valli while performing at Madison Square Garden, The Rainbow Room, and The Shubert Theatre. He has danced with Waves, Mt. Laurel Regional Ballet, South Jersey Ballet & Chester County Ballet, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Lily Langtrys, Pulsations, Legends In Concert, Bowzer's Rock 'N Roll Party, Star Search, along with performances in Lake Tahoe, Bermuda. Choreography credits include Showboat, West Side Story, Smoky Joe’s Café, and Grease (P.A.P.A.), Funny Girl (Paul VI), and Oliver (Southern Regional Middle school), the Mummers, Bob McGrath and the Sesame Street Gang, and several area video production companies. He has been featured in Dancer Magazine and was awarded first place in Dancing with the Cherry Hill Stars 2012, and most technical in 2013 and Best Overall Performance in 2014. He thanks his mother, Betty for putting tap shoes on his feet at age three (actually two and a half.)
